Powder Mixers

Horizontal (ribbon), V-type, cubic, conical and laboratory powder mixers in AISI 304 stainless steel for food, pharmaceutical, chemical and cosmetics production; 30–10,000 litres, built to your project.

What does an industrial powder mixer do?

A powder mixer, also called a powder blender or powder mixing machine, combines raw materials of different densities, such as flour, sugar, milk powder, spices, protein powder, additives, detergents and chemical powders, into a homogeneous blend with the same ratio in every batch. A uniform mix is the basis of consistent product quality, reliable recipes and accurate fill weights in the filling stage that follows.

As a powder mixer manufacturer, we design and build our machines at our facility in Konya, Türkiye, for manufacturers in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical and food supplement, chemical and cleaning, cosmetics and agriculture and feed industries.

Powder mixer types and capacities

Every raw material flows differently, so the mixer geometry is chosen according to the product and the production volume.

Horizontal (ribbon) mixers move the product in two directions at once with a double helical ribbon turning inside a U-shaped trough, achieving a homogeneous blend in a short time on high-volume production lines. V-type, cubic and conical mixers work by rotating the whole vessel around its axis: the product tumbles inside the vessel, and this gentle movement makes them the preferred choice for fragile and sensitive powders. Cubic models come with an integrated control panel, a braked motor, a sensor-supported safety stop and adjustable rotation speed; conical models can be discharged with an optional trolley.

For production that requires grinding sugar into a fine powder, our powdered sugar mills are also part of this product group.

Material and hygiene

The body and all product-contact surfaces are made of AISI 304 stainless steel; AISI 316 is available on request for abrasive or pharmaceutical-grade raw materials. Smooth internal surfaces leave no residue, speed up cleaning between batches and are suitable for food contact.

How to choose the right powder mixer

  • Batch volume: The quantity mixed per batch and the daily production target determine the capacity.
  • Raw material properties: Density differences, moisture content, particle size and fragility determine the mixer type.
  • Cleaning frequency: Where recipes change often, vessel types that are easy to discharge and clean are the better choice.
  • Layout: Available floor space, feeding and discharge heights and the connection to the filling machine are taken into account.
