Why use a laboratory mixer?
When you develop a new recipe or change a raw material, running a full-size production machine for trials wastes both expensive raw material and time. Laboratory mixers are compact machines with the same vessel geometry and mixing principle as our industrial models. Mixing time and homogeneity results obtained with small batches can be transferred directly to the production machine of the same type.
Models
We build laboratory versions of our four industrial mixer types:
| Type | Suitable for | Industrial counterpart |
|---|---|---|
| Laboratory V-mixer (KP-VTK-LAB) | Free-flowing powders, fragile granules | V-type |
| Laboratory cubic mixer (KP-KLTK) | Powders of different densities | Cubic |
| Laboratory conical mixer | Dry powder blends, spices, flour | Conical |
| Laboratory horizontal mixer | Powders, pastes and blends with liquid additives | Horizontal ribbon |
The volume is defined according to your needs; our laboratory models are usually built for small batches of 1 to 20 litres and run with a 0.55 kW motor.
Common features
- Material: Entirely AISI 304 stainless steel, AISI 316 on request.
- Controls: Digital speed control with a frequency inverter and a timer, so different mixing times can be tested easily.
- Safety: Emergency stop button and safety interlocks that prevent access to moving parts.
- Design: Compact body that takes up little space and fits easily into a laboratory.
Who uses them?
Food laboratories, pharmaceutical R&D centres, chemical product development laboratories, spice and coffee blending operations and companies running trial production of cosmetic and cleaning products use our laboratory mixers.
