How does auger powder filling work?
In an auger filling machine the product waits in a hopper; the filling screw under the hopper turns a set number of revolutions and transfers the same amount of powder into the pack every time. Because the product travels through a closed channel, dust is kept low and fill weights stay stable even with fine, dusty powders such as flour, milk powder, cocoa and spices.

For high-capacity lines, KP-OTDM forms the pack from film, fills and seals it; it can work with auger, multihead weigher and volumetric filling systems. KP-VTD5000 fills powders with poor flow reliably thanks to its screw feed and is operated by pedal or sensor. KP-DYP fills pre-made stand-up doypacks with zip closures and suits retail-packed products.

Semi-automatic or fully automatic?
On semi-automatic machines the operator places the pack under the filling spout, and the machine only measures and fills. This is a flexible and economical solution for production with changing packaging and medium daily volumes. Fully automatic machines form, fill and seal the pack, reducing labour on lines where the same product is packed in high volumes.
Which products are they suitable for?
Food (flour, starch, milk powder, cocoa, coffee, spices, protein powder), chemicals and cleaning (detergents, pigments, additives), pharmaceuticals and supplements (vitamins, herbal powders), cosmetics (bath salts, powder masks) and agriculture and feed products.
